These Terms of Service constitute a legal agreement (the “Agreement”) between you (the “Client”) and CanadaLike Education Corp. (the “Company”).

BY CLICKING THE APPROPRIATE BUTTON TO INDICATE ACCEPTANCE WHEN PURCHASING OR SIGNING UP FOR SERVICES OFFERED BY THE COMPANY AND ITS AUTHORIZED PARTNERS, OR BY OTHERWISE USING THESE SERVICES, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THE TERMS OF THIS AGREEMENT. IF YOU DO NOT ACCEPT AND AGREE TO THE TERMS OF THIS AGREEMENT, DO NOT ACCESS OR USE THE SERVICES.

Background

  1. The Client is of the opinion that the Company has the necessary experience and abilities to provide services to the Client.
  2. The Client desires to retain the services of the Company, and the Company is agreeable to providing such services to the Client under the terms and conditions set out in this Agreement.

IN CONSIDERATION OF the matters described above and of the mutual benefits and obligations set forth in this Agreement, the receipt and sufficiency of which consideration is hereby acknowledged, the Client and the Company (individually the “Party” and collectively the “Parties” to this Agreement) agree as follows:

1. Services

The Client hereby agrees to engage the Company to provide the Client with some or all of the services set forth below (individually the “Service” and collectively the “Services”):

  1. Informational Assistance: Support provided to the Client through the assessment of their chances for admission, relevant quotes, and other details to help the Client make informed decisions regarding their process of becoming a student at partner or non-partner educational institutions within Canada.
  2. Application Materials and Guidance: Providing the Client with materials, checklists, guides, and templates to assist in preparing their application for admission to partner educational institutions.
  3. Access to the Student Panel: The Client may be granted access to the Company’s online platform, which provides a list of programs offered by partner institutions across Canada, including colleges, universities, schools, and language programs. Through the Student Panel, the Client can search and filter available programs based on preferences such as program type, location, and duration, and view detailed information about each program, including entry requirements. Some information in the Student Panel may change without notice and may contain errors. The Client may also create an account in the Student Panel to sign up, build an application by following a checklist of required documents, and submit their application for review. Additionally, the portal allows the Client to communicate with the Company for assistance throughout the application and admission process, including inquiries about application status, document submission, and other related matters. The Company will act as an intermediary to pass the Client’s data to the applicable partner institutions in order to enable the Client to apply to programs offered by partner institutions.
  4. Educational Consultation: A 30-minute online consultation offering general information about the Canadian education system, guidance on how to choose programs to maximize chances of acceptance, admission requirements, application procedures, and other related topics. This consultation does not cover matters related to immigrating to Canada through immigration programs or applying for any types of temporary resident visas or permits.
  5. Immigration Consultation: A 50-minute online consultation with a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC). This consultation does not cover immigration to the province of Quebec, refugee applications, immigration on humanitarian grounds, or immigration for investors, startups, and business owners.
  6. Country Expert Consultation: A 60-minute online consultation offering general information on living, studying, and working in Canada. The consultation includes a detailed PDF guide on how to prepare for and adapt to life in Canada.
  7. Personalized Program Selection: A tailored program selection service, where the Client is provided with a list of suitable programs at partner institutions based on their academic background, career goals, and preferences. The number of programs presented in the selection may vary depending on the availability of suitable options. The Company will strive to provide at least three (3) program choices, though there may be instances where fewer options are available.
  8. Application Preparation: Assistance from the Company in preparing an application to a partner institution, including the preparation of documents, admission forms, motivation and reference letters, and a personalized checklist of requirements and documents. The Company will guide the Client throughout the process to ensure all necessary materials are compiled accurately for submission.
  9. Application Review: A thorough review of the Client’s documents by the Company before they are sent to partner institutions to ensure that all materials meet the requirements and are accurately completed.
  10. Enrollment Assistance to Partner Institutions: Submitting applications to up to two (2) educational institutions that are available in the Student Panel, including communication with representatives from the institutions regarding admission-related matters and obtaining offer letters and letters of acceptance. The Company will act as an intermediary to pass the Client’s data to the applicable partner educational institutions. The Company will strive to ensure at least one (1) offer is granted from a partner educational institution, provided the Client diligently follows the advice given during the Educational Consultation, works with the Company on Application Preparation, and submits all required documents for Application Review in a timely manner. If no offers are received, the Company will provide further advice and, upon the Client’s request, submit an additional application to another partner educational institution.
  11. Enrollment Assistance to Top-Tier or Non-Partner Institutions: Submitting applications to up to two (2) top-tier or non-partner educational institutions that are not available in the Student Panel. The Company will act as an intermediary to pass the Client’s data to the applicable top-tier or non-partner educational institutions. Acceptance is not guaranteed for these educational institutions or programs.
  12. Entrance Scholarships and Grants Application: Applying for entrance scholarships and grants that are available at the time of submitting the application to partner educational institutions. This service only covers scholarships and grants offered by the partner educational institutions and does not include external scholarships from other institutions or organizations. There may be instances where no scholarships or grants are available to the Client, and the Company is not liable for the availability or outcome of these financial awards.
  13. Study Permit Application: Providing information about study permit application requirements, assistance with the preparation of required documents, and submission to Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) by a regulated Canadian immigration consultant (RCIC), who will act as the Client’s representative. The service requires the Client to sign a retainer agreement with the RCIC. The Company will also provide information on biometrics, medical exam booking, and passport submission.
  14. Accommodation Assistance: Forwarding the Client’s information to a partner accommodation provider that will assist in securing suitable student housing in select cities. The provider will help facilitate the process of finding and arranging accommodation for the Client during their studies. Accommodation is not guaranteed, and the availability of housing will depend on the options provided by the accommodation partner.
  15. Student Health Insurance: Forwarding the Client’s information to a partner insurance company that will assist in obtaining a health insurance policy for the Client. The insurance provider will guide the Client through the process of acquiring the necessary coverage. The Company does not guarantee approval or issuance of the policy.
  16. Canadian SIM Card: Assisting the Client in obtaining a SIM card offered by a partner Canadian mobile operator, either through delivery within Canada or by providing an eSIM option. This service includes guidance on selecting the most suitable plan from those offered by the partner operator.
  17. Visa File Information Request (ATIP/CAIPS): A service provided by an RCIC to request and obtain the Client’s visa file information through Access to Information and Privacy (ATIP) or Canadian Immigration and Refugee Protection System (CAIPS) records. This service includes the interpretation of the data received to help the Client understand the status of their visa application and any related details.
  18. Airport Pick-up and Drop-off in Vancouver: Arranging pickup of the Client at Vancouver International Airport (YVR) and providing transportation to the Client’s residence within the Metro Vancouver area or on Vancouver Island.

2. Documents and information

  1. The Client agrees to provide the Company with all the required information and/or documents needed for the provision of the Services. Such information and/or documents may include but are not limited to, personal identification documents (e.g., passports, ID cards, etc.), marriage and/or name change certificates, police clearance certificates, official evidence of educational qualifications (e.g., degree certificates, transcripts, etc.), work history (e.g., a resume, letters of reference from employers, employment contracts, employment record books, etc.), proof of available funds to cover educational and living expenses in accordance with current IRCC requirements (e.g., bank statements, pay stubs, tax reports, notarized letters of financial support from third parties, proof of assets or business, etc.), proof of English language proficiency in accordance with current educational institutions’ requirements, a personal photo in accordance with current IRCC requirements.
  2. If the documents are not in English or French, the Client must provide certified or notarized translations into English or French.
  3. The Client must submit all required documents as PDF or JPEG files. Each file must consist of a copy of the original document and, if applicable, a copy of its translation.
  4. The Client is responsible for ensuring that all information and/or documents provided to the Company are true and accurate, including any documents obtained with the help of third parties. The Client acknowledges that providing false and inaccurate information and/or documents may impact the outcome of the Services.
  5. The Client agrees to provide the Company with all necessary information and/or documents as soon as possible after being notified. The Client acknowledges that undue delays or failure to provide the required information and/or documents can impact the outcome of the Services and may result in the Company’s inability to continue providing the Services.

3. Performance

  1. The Parties agree to take all necessary steps to ensure that the terms of this Agreement are implemented.
  2. The Client agrees to make every effort to follow the advice provided by the Company and acknowledges that failure to do so may impact the outcome of the Services.
  3. The Client agrees that the Company may, at its absolute discretion, engage a third party to fulfill some of the obligations of the Company under this Agreement.
  4. The Client acknowledges that decisions regarding the Client’s applications submitted to educational institutions or IRCC are made solely by those respective institutions and, in some cases, are highly discretionary and may be based on subjective judgment.
  5. The Company will strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information but is not liable for any loss or consequences the Client may experience due to errors or omissions in the provided information.
  6. The Company is not liable for third-party providers and is not liable for any loss or issues arising from their services.
  7. The Company is not liable for any delays in processing the Client’s applications submitted to educational institutions or IRCC.

4. Fees and charges

  1. The standard fees for the Services are stated on the Company’s website in U.S. Dollars (USD) but are charged in Canadian Dollars (CAD) at the current exchange rate at the time of purchase.
  2. The Company may offer certain Services as bundled plans or packages.
  3. The Company reserves the right to offer promotions or discounts on the Services at its discretion. In the event that a promotional offer or discount is made available, the standard fees for the Services may be reduced accordingly.
  4. The Client agrees to pay all fees arising from educational institutions, IRCC, and other third parties (e.g., application processing fees, translation services, credential evaluation, etc.). The Client acknowledges that these fees are beyond the Company’s control and may change without notice. If the Company is required to pay such fees on behalf of the Client, the Client agrees to reimburse the Company for these fees.
  5. All fees charged by the Company are payable upfront in a single installment. The Company reserves the right to specify accepted payment methods. Payment processing fees may apply.

5. Refunds

  1. The Client agrees that any refund is strictly limited to the amount paid for the Services by the Client (the “Total Amount”).
  2. As soon as the Company starts providing a Service to the Client (e.g., the Company has already begun compiling a personalized program selection for the Client, the Company has already provided a checklist of supporting documents for a study permit application, etc.), this Service is deemed fully or partially utilized by the Client, and the fee for this Service shall be considered non-refundable.
  3. If the Client requests a refund for unused Services within six (6) months from the date of payment, the Company will refund the unused portion of the Total Amount less the administration fee ($200). After this specified period, all fees are considered non-refundable.
  4. Refunds will be processed by the Company within thirty (30) business days. Refund processing fees may apply.
  5. The Client acknowledges that refund policies for third parties are at the discretion of those parties and may vary from the Company’s own refund policy.

6. Confidentiality

  1. Confidential information (the “Confidential Information”) refers to any written and oral material disclosed or provided by the Client to the Company, where the release of that Confidential Information could reasonably be expected to cause harm to the Client.
  2. The Company will not disclose, divulge, reveal, report, or use any Confidential Information obtained from the Client, except as authorized by the Client or as required by educational institutions and third parties to carry out the Services under this Agreement, or as required by law.

7. Miscellaneous

  1. This Agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada.
  2. This Agreement remains in effect for one (1) year from the date of payment for the Services or until the completion of the Services, whichever occurs first.
  3. The Company reserves the right to modify, amend, or update this Agreement at any time, and such changes will be effective immediately. Continued use of the Services after changes to the Agreement have been posted constitutes acceptance of the modified terms. The Company may, at its discretion, provide notice of significant changes to this Agreement; however, it is the Client’s responsibility to familiarize themselves with the most current version of the Agreement.
  4. The Company’s failure to perform any term of this Agreement, as a result of conditions beyond its control, such as, but not limited to, governmental restrictions or subsequent legislation, war, strikes, or acts of God, shall not be deemed a breach of this Agreement.
  5. The headings utilized in this Agreement are inserted for the convenience of the Parties only and are not to be considered when interpreting this Agreement.
  6. The Client acknowledges that they have had sufficient time to review this Agreement and have been given the opportunity to obtain independent legal advice and/or translation prior to the execution and delivery of this Agreement. In the event the Client did not seek independent legal advice and/or translation before signing this Agreement, they did so voluntarily without any undue pressure and agree that the failure to obtain independent legal advice and/or translation prior shall not be used as a defence to the enforcement of obligations created by this Agreement.
